jinx is what happens when pretty art tried to carry a story that fundamentally doesn't understand consent character, growth, or responsibility the apprentice banks on shock and power imbalance then ask readers to call it romance. It's not edgy. It's lazy,. the relationship dynamic is built on coercion and emotional leverage repeatedly framed as intensity instead of what it actually is: exploitation dressed up with soft shading and dramatic pacing the narrative keeps crossing, lies their refuses to interrogate them no accountability no consequences, just vibes and recycle trauma. there's minimal character development in the agencies, practically nonexistent one character exist to endure pain and fix the utter what the story treats as devotion rather than dysfunction,. that's not dark romance that's regressive writing with a glossy fish. Jax prioritize aesthetics over ethics and shock over substance. If the art weren't carrying this so hard there be nothing left to defend one star for visuals. The story itself is a strategic failure. I really did try to like this BL, but I truly do hate how romanticized SA and whatever they had going on was.

It began quite well, but derailed VERY hard from ch 40~ onward. I only can recomend it if you have the highest tolerance for frustrating stupidity.

Non-con and even a random molester at some point. The last chapters are kinda cute. The blackmailing makes not much sense and is never explained....

One of those romance stories that actually has a plot to it. Depending on whether you like 'dark romance' almost thriller like then you will probably enjoy this. I really like that their relationship isn't what youd think it is. This is kind of a enemies to lovers type of trope but it is VERY enjoyable. They have a lot of tension. They slowly realise their feelings and try to figure out things together. This story keeps you on edge. Its super intrguing to read. And the arts rlly nice.
SPOILER; For those of you who want a glimpse of their 'tension' Chapter 65-66 is where you get to see them really hit it off. Had me kicking my feet reading it esp chapter 66🤣

YESSS I love them sm I love my past self for finding this peice of art when it just started. So now I feel old now knowing this story is finished but happy at the same time since JOSHUA AND LILI are together (I shipped them from the start) I really love the ending and that it dint just end as a harem. JOSHUA the man that you are I was so happy when they were together it literaly made up my day, definitely one of my favorite mahnwas its just beutiful I love the author for this. One can only yearn to have the ability to create a peice of art that makes people cry and yearn everytime they read. <3
