danSucks big time on  Even If You Don't Love Me

From what I read this is nothing more than trash, I actually dropped it at some point.
Has a nice art style, but the merits end there.
Usually I really like a bit of twisted but some-kind "psychologically justified" or violent behavior, but only if this behavior is seen for what actually is i.e. not positive, not right, not romantic.
I give 2 example: in painter of the night

Spoiler!
even if the feelings between them are now of romantic nature, at the start and for much of the time lord seungho did horrible things to nakyum, however

the author made it quite clear that any of those was because of romantic circumstances;
in killing stalking the author makes sure you are fully aware of how sick the relationship between the two protagonists is),
Then we go to this manhwa: it's like the author want to justified horrific actions, financial dependence, domestic violence, segregation, stalking, multiple SA, etc.. as a form of "extreme jealousy", like "he did what he did because he loves him", the mindset here is so wrong.

I also see the glimmers of this toxic mindset in some comments below this and many other manhwas.
Like when readers say they find possession (seen in a limiting way) hot,
or when they really hate protagonist1 (when is not in a relationship with anyone) because they kiss or else with someone that's not protagonist2,
when they think a person love someone because you can see they're super jealous...
Well this is dangerous, especially for young readers.

(Just a reminder, it's perfectly fine if you will have more than one love interest and will experience intercouse with more than a person in all your lifespan. This is actually normal in the real life, at least where I live, I could say a thousand more but then I will go even more off topic,)

in conclusion,
I not recommend this manhwa to a single soul and to those who have unfortunately read it, i wish them to forget about it like you do with nightmares when you wake up

@Mrs. Jeon

  one of my tastes actually expect suffering characters (I may have some unsolved traumas, I know) like the already mentioned painter of the night and killing stalking, more can be a married man, lost in the cloud ecc, but i like lovey love stories too if well written, why not?

The line between “a situation” and “how a situation is represented” is really thin but still there, my issue comes with this second one: how things are represented. You can't sugarcoat all kind of horrors with "love".

The protagonists have the same depth of a puddle, so there's no remotely plausible reason behind their actions, but the author needed to find a way that wasn't metal illness to justify continuous violence, r*ape, kidnap and different kind of manipulation, so the best that comes to their mind seriously was "he did those things because he loves him so much, he couldn't bear it".. wtf?

Let's say that blue eyes guy doesn't end up with the uke at the end of the story: didn't he may look more like a villain than main lead? If so is it really ok to say it's the dark side of love? Is choi pilwon moved by love too? He** naaa

That said, have a good day ✨
