Ume found Theo's lack of communication frustrating. Despite Ume's clear boundaries, Theo was controlling and discouraged his independence and job search, although he later showed some improvement.

Let's discuss the grape. In my opinion, Theo is an ass****. He treated Ume horribly, and I don't understand why he helped him. I would have let him die. Theo takes advantage of Ume's kindness and is deeply flawed. Even after some progress, I feel he didn’t deserve Ume, who was so kind to him.
One really weird plot point is that Momo was originally summoned, but it’s mentioned multiple times that Momo is just a child. I’m left wondering, what would have happened if Momo had stayed behind?
Another weird plot point is that

later on, we find out Momo was also in the same world as Ume and was actually summoned by a different sorcerer. When Momo finds out that Theo likes Ume, she becomes very possessive over her brother, saying, "You can't have him; he belongs to me." i get it that Momo was basically raised by her brother since their mother was always busy and they didn't have a father figure.still weird none the less....

Later, when he had a chance to buy a bunch of charcoal to send Ume back home, he didn’t tell Ume that he could return. He was “afraid that Ume would demand to go back home and not keep his promise,” which is just wtf-
ume is so forgiving, cuz if my 'partener' did all that to me, NAH, NAH, NAH we're over, cuz bro ur issues r not my problem 😭

in conclusion:
this might not be for everyone, and it does have some REALLY weird side plots- but yah, it's cute ig....
